The Logistics Services Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of services delivered by SAXX’s third party logistics (3PL/warehouse) partners to ensure that orders are dispatched in full, on time with the correct services and cost effectively. The role is primarily responsible to provide projections to warehousing partners and monitor KPIs; the facilitation of efficient order fulfillment through best practice communication; to oversee inventory activities related to receipt, write-off, storage, cycle counting and claims; monitor outbound freight costs and the delivery of special distribution projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Development

  • Serve as the primary contact for warehouse operations teams
  • Provide warehouses with outbound projections, track weekly; plan capacity in advance for heaviest shipping periods, communicate shipping cutoff dates
  • Validate and approve warehouse invoices against contracted rates; administer the Warehouse Cost Analysis report
  • Monitor contracted KPIs; chair quarterly contract meetings with 3PLs, provide agenda and dashboard analytics to support meetings
  • Address service level complaints with warehouse operations
  • Onboard compliance retail partners, establish costed value-added service standard operating procedures with warehouses
  • Supply warehouses with vendor manuals; document and share extract of service and routing requirements
  • Monitor labeling and packing to ensure requirements are met in a timely manner
  • Provide uninterrupted supply of swingtags; validate warehouse swingtag counts monthly
  • Resolve root causes of compliance chargebacks due to warehouse error
  • Liaise with Compliance and Accounts Payable to ensure credits are received from warehouse partners where applicable
  • Monitor cost and service effectiveness of outbound freight, report trends to management
  • Maintain outbound shipping databases
  • Monitor outbound flow during last two weeks of each month and escalate risks to management
  • Coordinate large scale or ad hoc distribution projects such as fixtures and catalogues
  • Lead initiatives to reduce costs where possible throughout the business
  • Monitor ongoing cycle counting processes and reports
  • Inform warehouses of year end audit requirements based on input from VP finance
  • Coordinate efforts across departments to deliver full inventory count at European warehouse
  • Initiate ad hoc stock count based on reported discrepancies
  • Initiate stock write-offs on request of management
  • Coordinate efforts across departments to deliver special inventory projects: multipacks, instruction labels for changeover fixture graphics
  • Record issues relating to product, processes and/or quality and escalate as appropriate to Production Director
  • Monitor, control and manage operations to meet customer expectations and company goals
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationship through regular meetings and communications
  • Provide support to internal teams to achieve performance targets
  • Identify problems in operations process and escalate to management in timely manner
  • Maintain clear and accurate operations documents/procedures for reference purposes
  • Cross training with Inbound logistics to provide support for inbound services during vacation
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in supply chain or warehouse operations in a manufacturing or wholesale distribution environment
  • Bachelor’s degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with intermediate to advanced Excel
  • Superb organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to develop & execute strategies according to plans, monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Curious and takes ownership of role
  • Well-developed decision making and strategic thinking skills as well as highly developed analytical skills, sound judgement and problem-solving abilities are required
  • Ability to stay calm in challenging situations and under pressure
  • Ability to set expectations and deliver information in a positive and articulate way
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Experience in apparel industry logistics service requirements ie. SPS ASN submissions preferred
  • APICS or CPIM designation desirable
