DAYTRIPPER BOXER BRIEF
Inspired by pro basketball in the 70’s (when shorts were short and the stars were larger than life), our own in-house superstar and sports fan Marty designed Hairy and the Hoops. This outsized and hilarious take on the sport was a natural for her, showing off her killer skills and wicked sense of humor. This print has got it goin’ on – Marty’s signature clean-and-graphic style, an old-school color story and a globe-trotting sasquatch (of course). Super cool, super 70’s, super ridiculous.Coming Soon
Ultra & Oh Buoy
This print was a group effort! Inspired by a team trip to the spectacular Broad Museum in LA, creative director Kathleen came back completely stoked about Takashi Murakami – the infamous Japanese artist, known for his happy flowers, trippy outsized paintings and sculptures, and for being like the OG of collabs.
Murakami’s works are huge, mural-scaled paintings with a crazy amount of detail. So, we dove in and got closer and closer, finding patterns within patterns within the paintings. This directed a new camouflage concept that SAXX designer Patty painted…wavy, banded layers of multi-colored painterly camo patterns. We named the print Mura Kamo to celebrate Takashi’s inspiration!

VOLT BOXER BRIEF 2-PACK
Bad Santas was designed by one of our go-to freelance artists, Zach. Now, pay attention, this print deserves some serious thought. There are 8 bad Santas in all, each one modeled after a well-known movie-version of Mr. Claus. Keep a close eye out for each arrest location. This’ll help you determine which movie each Santa hails from. But that’s not all. When possible, Zach modeled the mugshot sign after what was used by the fiction police departments. The plot thickens: the police number for each Santa is actually the actor’s birthday. We challenge you to figure out all 8. Good luck!Coming Oct 2021
Daytripper Boxer Brief & Snooze Pant
These waters are holi-dangerous! Riffing off the movie classic, SAXX designer Marty jumped off the deep end with Jingle Jaws. She used her signature clean-and-graphic style, along with her tongue-in-cheek attitude to design this sea full of great whites getting after the Christmas booty. We love this print so much it shows up twice – in Day Tripper as a wavy stripe, and then simplified and scaled down for our Snooze Pant in Sleep. Catch ‘em while you can!Coming Oct 2021
Brett Stenson is an illustrator, designer and multi-disciplinary artist living in Portland, Oregon. His work is inspired directly by the natural world, and our place in it.
As he puts it: ”I pull from the primordial rhythms in nature and primitive art from around the world and filter through the lens of my own imagination. By simplifying complex features and intangible feelings in nature, I hope to filter our collective experiences outdoors in a cerebral, colorful and rudimentary way.”
Brett works in a very sincere and recognizable manner – and expresses his talents thru painting, screen printing and woodworking. And he is a massive fan of the outdoors – hiking, biking, fishing – summer, fall winter and spring. He is the real deal, and just a really good dude.
Fish are Fly.
